چکیده

Estimates of soil properties such as Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), water content, grain size characteristics, and permeability are important in geotechnical engineering, resources, agriculture. We develop a non-intrusive approach to estimate these the field using spectral induced polarization (SIP) tomography. This geophysical method provides information about frequency dependence complex electrical conductivity porous media. Using 18 samples collected from Bordeaux vineyard, we first conducted laboratory study SIP over range 10 mHz-45 kHz. The data were used confirm accuracy recently developed dynamic Stern layer petrophysical model. results consistent with published values previous works soils. A comparison was made by comparing spectra experimental at two locations where core obtained. model then concert image spatial distribution CEC, permeability, mean along vineyard transect. For clay sandy textures found field, measured estimated CEC agree rather well (from 6 40% discrepancy). Our an efficient way non-invasive manner, high resolution, field-relevant scales critical zone Earth.

Estimation of Chargeability and Permeability using Spectral Induced Polarization Data

Induced polarization (IP) method has been successfully implemented in investigation of groundwater, geothermal and metallic ores. From published (Nordsiek and Weller, 2008) spectral induced polarization (SIP) data, the amplitude and phase spectra have been derived. Frequencydependent impedance data sets have been calculated from these SIP data sets, which were derived for chargeability by Debye...

SOIL SPECTRAL PROPERTIES OF ARID REGION, KASHAN AREA, IRAN

This study determined some spectral characteristics and relationship between Landsat spectral reflectance and soil surface color in the arid region of Iran (Kashan). The study carried out in the kashan area that covers 90000 ha. Consisting of mountain, hills and flood plain. Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM+) data collected on July 2002 were used for this research. The color composite images produ...

Estimation of Soil Moisture Content of bare soils from their spectral optical properties in the 0.4 - 12 µm spectral domain

The purpose of this paper is the capacity of spectral reflectance, in the full optical domain 0.4 – 12.0 m, to retrieve the Soil Moisture Content (SMC) of bare soils. Indeed, the knowledge of surface soil moisture is a key point for many applications like trafficability after flood, ground – atmosphere exchanges and plant good health. Hyperspectral image acquisitions (narrow spectral bands and ...

Polarization-sensitive full-field optical coherence tomography.

We present a polarization-sensitive full-field optical coherence tomography system that can produce high-resolution images of the linear retardance and reflectivity properties of biological media. En face images can be delivered at a frame rate of 3.5 Hz by combination of interferometric images acquired by two CCD cameras in an interference microscope illuminated with a tungsten halogen lamp. I...

Spectral induced polarization of Na-montmorillonite dispersions.

Montmorillonite (Mt) clays have a high specific surface area and surface charge, which confer them remarkable adsorption properties. Nevertheless, their electrochemical and aggregation behavior are not completely elucidated because of the complexity of their microstructural and interfacial properties. In this work, the conductive and dispersive properties of Na-Mt suspensions of weight fraction...
